Communities across the country are helping people with asthma lead healthy, active lives. These communities have developed innovative approaches and strategies for delivering quality asthma services. The National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management and the National Exemplary Award provide opportunities to celebrate these successes and highlight effective approaches that improve the health and well-being for people with asthma.
National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management
The National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management recognizes health plans, health care providers and communities in action that demonstrate exceptional commitment to improving the lives for people with asthma through innovative and sustainable efforts. Recipients are selected annually by EPA through a highly competitive process. Award winners are recognized at the National Asthma Forum. In addition to this award presentation, winners receive:
- An engraved crystal award.
- National recognition on EPA's Web site and on AsthmaCommunityNetwork.org.
- Customized press kits and support generating media attention.
- Increased visibility at the National Asthma Forum and other conferences.
- An opportunity to serve as mentors to help other programs achieve fantastic results.
