| Hello, We recently a our site visit from the Joint Commission and one of the gray areas or "area needed to improve" was the documentation that flu shots were recommended and given as well as pneumococcal immunizations given as well?? Does anyone or program have this in place? From a healthplan perspective, we can encourage providers to give the shot and encourage our members to go to PCP , but how do we measure the effectiveness of this??? I would greatly appreciate help in this matter. Thank you Candace Ramos Asthma Education Coordinator- Children's Mercy Family Health Partners cramos@fhp.org

| Candace, I recommend that you work with your local (or state) Department of Health. They are probably tracking local influenza activity and promoting influenza immunization. You may be able to partner with them next season to increase immunization rates.
