We were able as a nonprofit program working to build skills in at risk fourth graders bring Science and citizen involvement in measurements that are sent up to NASA Langely satellites into daily school hands on experiences.

New Education Options was able to work with children in the classroom to rediscover information about the Atmosphere, the colors in the wind, and weather by science journals, daily teamwork, and instruction.

As one of the youngest real science program members of GLOBE.gov in LAUSD ESC NW, we were able to make a video that is pulling teachers and is breaking down barriers to discussing healthier habits in the San Fernando Valley.

Take a look into our classroom in Van Nuys and let us know if your school district, child life program, hospital or insurance company would love to weigh in on what is coming next.  Let's look at prevention, advocacy, options, and wellness that combines student agency and social/linguistic/and emotional elements in daily prognosis and long term gains in their studies, their recreation, and their friendships.

Who knew that Asthma Control could lead to a new horizon on so many fronts.  Write us at bo@kidsfirst.la and enjoy our videos that just may add a socio-emotional factor with kinethestic and other learning styles to kids staying in class and feeling safe and valued so they can study or cope with Elementary School.
