University of Southern Mississippi Center for Sustainable Health Outreach (CSHO)

The University of Southern Mississippi Center for Sustainable Health Outreach (CSHO) works to support the role of community health workers as an essential component of sustainable community wellness. Through trainings such as The Community Health Advisor Network (CHAN) Training Workshop I & II and the Annual Unity Conference, designed for and about CHWs, CSHO provides support and technical assistance to CHWs. CSHO also assists CHWs by facilitating partnerships with funders, policy makers, health systems, and community organizations.
