Multnomah County Health Department’s Community Capacitation Center provides training and technical assistance to organizations working to establish or strengthen their community health worker programs. This support includes recruitment and hiring of CHWs, development of CHW job descriptions, and support and supervision of CHWs. The Center’s 80-hour basic curriculum consists of three components and offers skill-based orientation to the health and social services system.
