Childhood Asthma Leadership Coalition
The Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University and its partners, the Merck Childhood Asthma Network and First Focus, established the Coalition in 2011 to address this growing public health challenge, which disproportionately affects low-income and minority children. The Coalition includes a cross-section of experts and organizations from a range of fields including housing, environmental health, health care delivery, health economics and public policy. By working together, the Coalition aims to accelerate prevention and improve the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of childhood asthma through targeted state and federal efforts. The Coalition also works to address barriers that prevent children from accessing the health care services they need to control and manage asthma. The Coalition is currently funded with generous support from the Kresge Foundation.

Riley Asthma Care Center
The Riley Hospital asthma program provides inpatient and ouptatient care to thousands of children every year from all over the state of Indiana. Our goals are to decrease the hospital admission rate for children with asthma around the state of Indiana, decrease their asthma symptoms and therefore improve their quality of life. For our most severe asthmatics, we also provide a High Risk Asthma Clinic, that has the specific mission of decreasing hospitalization rates and Emergency Room visits for our most difficult-to-control patients.
