We work closely with our local Medicaid plans to communicate the importance of exceptional asthma care. They are supportive as Cigna and HealthNet have generously sponosred our program. We have physician advocates who are continually providing information to inform legislative decisions and discussion.
We have advocated for and had passed to bills that would provide funding for the service. Both were vetoed by the Governor. We now have funding for a pilot with the state Department of Health Care Services that appears will add this benefit in 2022.
