The American Lung Association of Midland States implements the Open Airways program in 12 communities in northeast and northwest Ohio to educate children with asthma about how to identify and control their environmental asthma triggers.
The American Lung Association''s Open Airways for Schools will be implemented in a community setting versus a traditional school setting. This pilot grant project will reach 12 communities in northeast and northwest Ohio. The program will be taught to children with asthma ages 8-11. Our goal is to increase the number of facilitators by six and reach 100 children.
