Founded in March 2000, the Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers (MACHW) enables CHWs to lead the movement to organize, define and strengthen the profession of community health work. As a professional organization, MACHW provides resources and workforce development to CHWs from all disciplines. This includes resources on training and educational opportunities; policy development at the state and local levels; and integration of CHWs into the health care, public health and human service workforce.
