ECAPP is a collaboration between East Carolina University and Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Our goal is to reduce asthma exacerbations and ED visits among low income children in eastern NC.

I am a student doing research learning program development. My topic is childhood asthma.

We also assist with managing a community based after school program in Baltimore city for qualified underserved children.

The Preventive Care Program for Urban Children with Asthma partners with Rochester (NY) city schools, primary care practices, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the University of Rochester, and the Rochester community, to conduct research focusing on the testing of interventions to improve health care for urban children who suffer from childhood asthma. Our goal is to develop sustainable models for identifying and treating children with this disease.

Our mission is to increase the scientific understanding of asthma/allergic diseases across all ages, to translate these findings into innovative approaches and to implement these approaches in the asthma community through an integrated Institute of scientists, clinicians, educators, patients and the community, thereby improving the health of asthma patients.

The StopPests in Housing Program's goal is to improve pest control in affordable housing by teaching everyone who works, lives, and plays in housing how to use integrated pest management (IPM). Our experts are available for free to HUD-supported communities. Networked resources for all!
