CHW Association

The Community Health Worker Network of NYC curriculum is available as a 35-hour and 70-hour course of study. In addition to the core competencies, training in disease-specific topics is available in modules of up to 35 additional hours. The disease-specific training includes diabetes, asthma, hypertension, cardio-vascular disease and nutrition.

Visión y Compromiso in California has a variety of training programs and conferences for CHWs and Promotores. Through its network, the organization promotes multi-disciplinary training curricula, identifies key health systems affecting Latino programs, and coordinates statewide initiatives.

The Florida Community Health Worker Coalition helps CHWs reach vulnerable, low-income and underserved community members. The organization promotes increased engagement of CHWs to support health education by providing training resources and conducting an annual summit. The Coalition has grown to include more than 275 people. Its monthly meetings, conducted by webinar and conference call, are open to all.
