In NY the greatest disparity in hospitalization rates comes from Asthma. African Americans and Latinos have  signficantly disproportion higher rates for asthma hospitalization and deaths in NYC. Our program brings awareness to the environmental factors that contribute to asthma , disproportionately affecting minority communities in New York.This includes actions such as contacting lawmakers to adjust policies that affects environmental health and asthma research.
