The Regional Summit on Sustainable Funding For In-Home Asthma Interventions, hosted at Mount Sinai Hospital, was the tenth in a series of meetings supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2 in collaboration with Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The Summit brought together participants from across Region 2 to support efforts to pursue the following outcomes:

  • Showcase innovative federal/ regional/ state asthma in-home programs and initiatives;
  • Foster collaborations across health, housing, environmental, and insurance plans to advance preventive care services for asthma;
  • Call for action by prioritizing next steps for broadly implementing insurance reimbursement for asthma in home interventions; and,
  • Provide an opportunity for participants to network and develop future collaborations.
