Through the Northern Plains Tobacco Prevention Project (NPTPP), the Aberdeen Area Tribal Chairmen's Health Board targets American Indian tribal members and tribally based health professionals to improve indoor air quality in the homes of American Indian children with asthma and develop capacity among tribal health care professionals to assist patients in identifying, mitigating and managing asthma triggers in their homes.

Seton Asthma Center serves acute and primary-care asthma patients to provide tailored, patient-specific asthma education, which teaches basic information about asthma, reviews the patient’s medications, trains patients in the use of inhalant devices.

The mission of the Allen County Asthma Coalition is to promote change and increase community asthma awareness through policy development, legislative change and advocacy.

Asthma Safe Kids (ASK) is an in-home education program focused on children with asthma under the age of 18 that works to increase caregivers’ awareness of asthma triggers in the home and decrease the exposure of asthmatic children to these triggers.

Through our indoor air quality program, Bois Forte Environmental Services spreads asthma awareness and prevention techniques to local Native populations as well as those throughout EPA Region 5.

The Breathing Association Asthma Outreach Program provides individualized care services and effective asthma management tools to prevent lung disease and improve lung health conditions in the community.

The Action on Asthma Coalition, a division of the American Lung Association of California, provides a central forum for asthma information exchange and collaboration on asthma projects in order to improve the health and quality of life of those affected by asthma.

Maricopa County Asthma Coalition members include representatives from state, county and local public health departments, environmental health agencies/experts, community non-profit organizations, school nurses, head start administrative staff, health care professional, hospitals, community clinics, health care plans, business, pharmaceutical companies and parents of children with asthma.

The Community Asthma Prevention Program was formed to conduct classes for families in familiar environments such as community centers, churches and schools; measure knowledge acquisition and retention; and measure self-management behavior changes in order to improve asthma control and quality of life.

Community Action to Fight Asthma is a network of asthma coalitions in California working to shape local, regional, and state policies to reduce the environmental triggers of asthma for school-aged children where they live, work, and play.
