The Central Ohio Asthma Coalition, the main coordinating agency for organizations and individuals in Columbus who are concerned about the alarming asthma epidemic, provides a neutral forum for asthma information exchange and collaboration on asthma projects to improve the quality of life of individuals affected by asthma.

The Central Ohio Asthma Coalition is consists of over 20 member organizations. Created in 2004, the Coalition is Columbus’s central coordinating agency for organizations and individuals concerned about the alarming asthma epidemic. The COAC provides a neutral forum for asthma information exchange and collaboration on asthma projects. Membership is open to all organizations and individuals.

Our vision is to significantly reduce the burden of asthma in the Central Ohio.

The mission of the Central Ohio Asthma Coalition is to improve the health and quality of life of individuals affected by asthma with particular emphasis on low-income populations.

The goals of the Central Ohio Asthma Coalition are to improve the quality of life of individuals affected by asthma:

Increase awareness about the seriousness of the asthma epidemic
Provide a central forum for asthma information exchange
Encourage collaborative asthma related projects
Promote the appropriate diagnosis and management of asthma
Advocate for improved asthma related health policies
