The program works on the Healthy Homes initiative to raise awareness of environmental health risks in homes such as lead-based paint, mold, carbon monoxide, pesticides, and hazardous household products through one-on-one family education, realtor and landlord education. To reduce or eliminate environmental hazards in the home, the program refers families to local health and housing programs to fix their hazards.

The South Los Angeles Healthy Homes Program provides life-changing benefits for families by reducing residential and environmental hazards to improve family health through our culturally responsive community health outreach methods.

Would like to expand services to include asthma management.

Founded by Anthony & Tiffany Wilkes, the Atlanta based organization is dedicated to Educating, Empowering, Enriching and provide special services to school-based youth and their families with the skills necessary to pursue a higher education, achieve positive goals, and create healthier communities.

The Chester Home Asthma Prevention Program (CHAPP) was a successful home-based asthma education and environmental remediation program for Chester City, PA, an Environmental Justice community funded by a three-year EPA grant administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. CHAPP addressed both indoor and outdoor asthma triggers and was a collaboration between the Crozer-Chester Medical Center and the Chester Environmental Partnership (CEP).

HERC provides asthma education and testing, wellness support, and food distribution to residents of the Bayview.

Provides assistance to low income families to help them manage environmental controls for asthma.

Creating healthy homes for children and families

Community Clinic, Inc. (CCI) is a nonprofit, community-based health care agency serving residents of Montgomery and Prince George's counties who are uninsured or under-insured and others. CCI welcomes adults and children in need of primary health care and WIC nutrition education and food supplement services, provided in six accessible locations. CCI is committed to your good health and has been serving the community since 1972. Our expert, dedicated and certified staff are well-trained and friendly. If you are looking for a patient-centered medical home, we can offer you a full array of primary care and WIC services to get well and stay healthy.

The Puerto Rico Coalition for Asthma and other chronic respiratory conditions is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 to educate, empowered and protect patients with respiratory conditions. It has worked with other groups to create a law to protect the right for students with asthma to use their medications in school, by developing a protocol. Also, it has worked with the PR Lung Association in patient education matters and activities. The Coalition delivers CME programs for health professionals as well as education to community-based groups in areas of low income and disparities for kids.
