The Chester Home Asthma Prevention Program (CHAPP) was a successful home-based asthma education and environmental remediation program for Chester City, PA, an Environmental Justice community funded by a three-year EPA grant administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. CHAPP addressed both indoor and outdoor asthma triggers and was a collaboration between the Crozer-Chester Medical Center and the Chester Environmental Partnership (CEP).

HERC provides asthma education and testing, wellness support, and food distribution to residents of the Bayview.

Provides assistance to low income families to help them manage environmental controls for asthma.

Creating healthy homes for children and families

Community Clinic, Inc. (CCI) is a nonprofit, community-based health care agency serving residents of Montgomery and Prince George's counties who are uninsured or under-insured and others. CCI welcomes adults and children in need of primary health care and WIC nutrition education and food supplement services, provided in six accessible locations. The Puerto Rico Coalition for Asthma and other chronic respiratory conditions is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 to educate, empowered and protect patients with respiratory conditions. It has worked with other groups to create a law to protect the right for students with asthma to use their medications in school, by developing a protocol. Also, it has worked with the PR Lung Association in patient education matters and activities. The Coalition delivers CME programs for health professionals as well as education to community-based groups in areas of low income and disparities for kids.

This FREE online course recognizes the critical role allied health professionals play in educating and caring for patients with asthma. Course content conforms with the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) 2007 Expert Panel Report 3: Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma. This program has been approved for 7 CE credits by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) and 7 CRCE hours by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).

Safe at Home program is a home-based multi-component education and environmental remediation. Eligible participants are required to have a child between the ages of 2-14 years who has been diagnosed with asthma and resides in Baltimore City.

The San Diego Smoke-free Project long term goal is to reduce secondhand smoke at all venues. Our project concentrate in two policy objectives 1) Smoke-free Multi-unit Housing 2) 100% Smoke-free Residential Care Facilities (Drug and Social Rehab and Domestic Violence Shelters)
