The Detroit Alliance for Asthma Awareness conducts asthma education and management in a broad spectrum of venues throughout the city to reduce the number of asthma episodes that result in ED visits, hospitalizations, missed school and work days, and deaths.

The Alliance conducts asthma education and management in a broad spectrum of venues throughout the city. Our goal is to reduce the number of asthma episodes that result in ED visits, hospitalizations, missed school and work days, and deaths. Ultimately, the Alliance strives to improve the quality of life for people with asthma.

DC Asthma Safe Babies is an opportunity for expectant parents, caregivers, and child care providers of children (newborn - 3 yrs) to learn about the health effects and sources of asthma triggers and basic steps to reduce asthma triggers in their homes.

DC Asthma Safe Babies is an opportunity for expectant parents, caregivers, and child care providers of children (newborn - 3 yrs) to learn about the health effects and sources of asthma triggers and basic steps to reduce asthma triggers in their homes. Asthma Safe Babies is presented initially as a baby shower, with the intent of working with the attendees to conduct in-home asthma trigger assessments.
